Mission / Vision

MEN'S MINISTRY

Mission Statement (what our purpose is)
The Mission of men’s ministry at Cloverdale Baptist Church is to train and equip men to be God fearing leaders in their homes, in their places of work or school, and in the church. (Ephesians 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:17)

Vision Statement (what the future looks like)
As an overflow of Christ’s work in our lives, we will be a group of men that passionately seek holiness and truth, actively serving and loving our families, our colleagues, and our church as God fearing, Word saturated, Christ empowered, servant leaders. (1 John 3:18; 1 Peter 1:14-16; Ephesians 4:24)

Strategy (how we will achieve the vision)
We will achieve our vision by taking men who desire to be faithful, available, and teachable and bring them into accountable relationships under God and with each other. We will actively pursue men connecting them to God, His Word, and each other for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God’s man in Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:11; Col 3:16; Prov 27:17)

CBC Cycle Group

Once again we plan to join up with Valley Veloriders, a local riding group.  Officially we will start on June 2

Here is a link with a summary of the ride which includes dates and times and includes a link to the route in the Fort Langley Area. This ride is considered a 20 km leisure ride (a fairly easy pace of 15-20 kmh on flat roads) where no one is left behind. We ride as a group and if someone falls a bit behind (flat tire, mechanical difficulty, etc.) the group stops and waits until they catch up. As far as what you need to bring, here is a list:
Helmet - (mandatory)
Bike - if you don't have a bike, The Fort Cyclery now has rental bikes (with helmet) at very reasonable prices and are open at 9AM before the start of our ride.
Refreshment - water, or other hydrating liquid of choice, and/or snack. This is only a 1 1/2 - 2 hour ride so a lunch is probably not needed
Spare tube - This is a good idea since there are different sized wheels and there is no guarantee that someone else will have the right sized spare. Not having a spare tube is not a show stopper though.
Tube patch kit - optional, but also a good idea, particularly if they don't have a spare tube. It is likely that others will have a patch kit though
Tire pump - optional as others will have a pump.
