Once again we plan to join up with Valley Veloriders, a local riding group. Officially we will start on June 2
Here is a link with a summary of the ride which includes dates and times and includes a link to the route in the Fort Langley Area. This ride is considered a 20 km leisure ride (a fairly easy pace of 15-20 kmh on flat roads) where no one is left behind. We ride as a group and if someone falls a bit behind (flat tire, mechanical difficulty, etc.) the group stops and waits until they catch up. As far as what you need to bring, here is a list:
Helmet - (mandatory)Bike - if you don't have a bike, The Fort Cyclery now has rental bikes (with helmet) at very reasonable prices and are open at 9AM before the start of our ride.Refreshment - water, or other hydrating liquid of choice, and/or snack. This is only a 1 1/2 - 2 hour ride so a lunch is probably not neededSpare tube - This is a good idea since there are different sized wheels and there is no guarantee that someone else will have the right sized spare. Not having a spare tube is not a show stopper though.Tube patch kit - optional, but also a good idea, particularly if they don't have a spare tube. It is likely that others will have a patch kit thoughTire pump - optional as others will have a pump.
